چکیده
Aim: To differentiate mesenchymal stem cells into functional dopaminergic neurons using an electrospun polycaprolactone (PCL) and graphene (G) nanocomposite. Methods: A one-step approach was used to electrospin the PCL nanocomposite, with varying G concentrations, followed by evaluating their biocompatibility neuronal differentiation. Results: exiguous demonstrated ideal nanotopography unprecedented combination of guidance stimuli substrate cues, aiding enhanced differentiation neurons. These newly differentiated were seen exhibit unique arborization, intracellular Ca 2+ influx dopamine secretion. Conclusion: Having cost-effective fabrication room-temperature storage, PCL-G nanocomposites could pave way for differentiation, thereby opening a new horizon array applications in neural regenerative medicine.

Human mesenchymal stem cells (hMSCs) have great potential as cell sources for bone tissue engineering and regeneration, but the control and induction of their specific differentiation into bone cells remain challenging. Graphene-based nanomaterials are considered attractive candidates for biomedical applications such as scaffolds in tissue engineering, substrates for SC differentiation and comp...
متن کاملEnhanced Adipose Mesenchymal Stem Cells Proliferation by Carboxymethyl-Chitosan Functionalized Polycaprolactone Nanofiber
Background: Through combining two synthetic and natural polymers, scaffolds can be developed for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine purposes. Methods: In this work, carboxymethyl chitosan (CMC; 20%) was grafted to Polycaprolactone (PCL) nanofibers using the cold atmospheric plasma of helium. The PCL scaffolds were exposed to CAP, and functional groups were developed on the PCL surface...
متن کاملIn-vitro Differentiation of Human Umbilical Cord Wharton’s Jelly Mesenchymal Stem Cells to Insulin-Producing Cells
Background & Objective: Diabetes is a major chronic metabolic disease in the world. Islet transplantation is a way to treat diabetes. Unfortunately, this method is restricted due to graft rejection and lack of donor islets. Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSCS) have the ability to differentiate into Insulin-Producing Cells (IPCs). In this study, Human Umbilical Mesenchymal Stem Cells (HUMSCS) were in...
متن کاملInduction of Human Embryonic Stem Cells into neuronal differentiation by increasing cyclic Adenosine Mono Phosphate
Introduction: To evaluate the cAMP -mediated IBMX (3-IsoButyle -1-Methyl Xanthin) and db-cAMP (dibutyryl cAMP) effects on differentiation of human Embryonic Stem Cells (hESCs) into nerve cells were the objectives of this study. Methods: We have used Royan H1 hESC- derived embryoid bodies with four treatment groups: six days treatment with IBMX (5×10 -4M) and db-cAMP (10 -9M) (referred to as...
متن کاملDifferentiation of Human Adipose Tissue-Derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells into Insulin Producing Cells Using Minimal Differentiation Factors
Background & Aims: Type 1 diabetes, or insulin-dependent diabetes, is an autoimmune disease in which pancreatic beta cells are destroyed by the immune system. Hitherto, no definite treatment has been found for this condition. Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) are multipotent, self-renewing cells that have the ability to differentiate into mesodermal tissues. This ability has attracted the attention...
